It was with great excitement & with a spring in our steps that the Trustees of WOW entered Sarathi International for our first presentation & distribution of kits on June 21st, 2017. The programme commenced with 7 of us meeting with the Board Members-Mr.Sarathi & Mr.Giri. It was a very interactive, informative & educative meeting.
After the meeting we were introduced to the young enthusiastic women employees of Sarathi for an educative session on Menstruation. Nirmala, who believes that a woman who listens can influence her community and contribute to a healthy society, handled the session very effectively. She educated the women about menstruation & discussed the taboos surrounding it as well as the do’s & don’ts. We also engaged with the women to answer their queries & clarify their doubts.
